A Brief
History. |
|
|
|
|
Bad Rabble were formed in Walsall in the West
Midlands in December 2006 and spent their first 12 months
working non-stop putting together a great
repertoire
of songs that differed from most set lists offered by similar
bands already making a name for themselves on both the local
and national pub and club circuits. Their first performance
was held at the King George V public house in Walsall in
December 2007, and saw the band instantly earn the respect of
the small but crowded venue, as well as a re-booking just 3
months later.
Many more successful bookings were soon secured in the pubs
and clubs around the Midlands area as the band began to make a
name for themselves, and in March 2008, Bad Rabble were
offered a slot at the Robin 2 R&B Club in Bilston supporting
the 'Bon Jovi Experience', one of the UK's top tribute acts.
Again they quickly earned the respect of the crowd gathered
before them, and left the stage to a well deserved round of
applause. The band later went on to support a number of other
great tribute acts at the Robin 2, including 80's Ska and
2-Tone tribute 'Ultimate Madness', and The Jam and Paul Wellar
tribute 'The Modfathers'.
In
addition to their continuous public performances, Bad Rabble
were beginning to take bookings for private and corporate
functions
and events, including Wedding Receptions, Family Celebrations,
Formal Occasions, Business Events, and Charity Fundraisers,
and in 2009, they headlined the 2009 Parkinson's Disease
Awareness Function, and also performed at the 2009 Rosie's
Walk event in aid of Rosie's Helping Hands (Rosie's Charity),
a local charity which was set up by the parents of Aldridge
teenager Rosie Ross to help improve the lives of young people
in and around the West Midlands area. 16 year old Rosie was
the victim of a fatal, unprovoked, and motiveless stabbing
whilst enjoying lunch with friends during a shopping trip in
Birmingham City Centre in 2001. Bad Rabble were honoured to be
given the opportunity to perform for this more than worthy
cause where they performed to a
crowd in excess of 2000 people throughout the days
proceedings.
May 2010 see's another
change of bass player with Chris and the rest of the band
parting ways, and following a very impressive audition, Andy
joins the bad Rabble ranks enabling us to both move the band
forward, and also to fulfil our already busy gig schedule.
To be continued...
